Government Cuts To South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue
While South Yorkshire Serial Arsonists Are Still At Large
South Yorkshire is still being inundated with arson attacks. Figures released by South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue show there have been almost 400 arson attacks in the county in the last month, with that number growing by the day. As the government announces more cuts to the Yorkshire fire service, The Fire Brigades Union fear they can’t stretch their fireman any further.
Graham Wilkinson, acting brigade secretary for the Fire Brigades Union, said there were fewer resources to cover blazes, if crews were dealing with an arson, because of Government cuts.“The problem is the cover will have to come from somewhere else.”
