High-Tech Security Measures Prevent Attempted Armed Robbery In Doncaster

Last Thursday morning, Adam Croft of  N & A Jewellers in Woodlands and three employee’s were going about their daily business, when a car pulled up outside and two masked men headed towards the shop. Thankfully the thugs were spotted on Mr Crofts CCTV system so they immediately activated their security measures. Including automatic locks on the door, a high-powered ‘sonic blaster’ alarm, an instant alert alarm, and a ‘Fog Bandit’ device.

Mr Croft, who has run his shop for four years, specialising in buying gold, said: “They tried to get in the door but there was no chance for them so they got back in the car and drove off towards Doncaster. I think some people on the street got their registration number. A friend in the security industry advised me and I’m so glad I took his advice.”

Doncaster police have set up a special squad after an unprecedented spate of armed robberies. A total of seven people have been arrested for the town centre raids. A 29-year-old Balby man, has been charged with the attempted robbery and been remanded in custody by Doncaster magistrates to appear at Sheffield Crown Court.
